Hypotension
Cardiac arrest (sympathomimetic)
Safety Profile
Poison by intravenous andintraperitoneal routes. When heated to decomposition itemits toxic fumes of NOx.
Drug interactions
Potentially hazardous interactions with other drugs
Adrenergic neurone blockers: antagonise hypotensive
effect.
Anaesthetics: increased risk of arrhythmias with
volatile general anaesthetics.
Antidepressants: tricyclics may cause hypertension
and arrhythmias; MAOIs and moclobemide may
cause hypertensive crisis.
Beta-blockers: can cause severe hypertension.
Clonidine: possibly increased risk of hypertension.
Dopaminergics: effects possibly increased by
entacapone; avoid with rasagiline.
Sympathomimetics: effects possibly enhanced by
dopexamine.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 51-40-1 includes 5 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 2 digits, 5 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 51-40:
(4*5)+(3*1)+(2*4)+(1*0)=31
31 % 10 = 1
So 51-40-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
