Dimethyl 3,4-dihydroxythiophene-2,5-dicarboxylate is a useful reactant for Curtius-?like rearrangement reactions for the synthesis of 2,?5-?diamide-?substituted five-?membered heterocycles based on the thiophene, pyrrole, and furan ring systems.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 58416-04-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,8,4,1 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 58416-04:
(7*5)+(6*8)+(5*4)+(4*1)+(3*6)+(2*0)+(1*4)=129
129 % 10 = 9
So 58416-04-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

We describe synthetic routes for preparing previously unknown 2,5-diamide-substituted five-membered heterocycles based on the thiophene, pyrrole, and furan ring systems by exploiting Curtius-like rearrangement reactions. Conformation analysis of the 2,5-diamidothiophene derivatives identified a "closed" conformation, in which the two carbonyl O atoms are in close contact with the thiophene S atom.
