A compound represented by the formula (I): [wherein R1 represents C3-9 branched alkyl; R2 represents, e.g., linear or branched, C2-9 alkyl optionally substituted by halogen, etc.; and X represents oxygen, etc.] (provided that the following cases are excluded: the case where R1 is tert-butyl, R2 is 2-methylpropyl, phenyl, tert-butyl, benzyl, or cyclohexyl, and X is oxygen and the case where R1 is tert-butyl, R2 is adamantly, neopentyl, or cyclohexylethenyl, and R3 is a single bond); or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the compound. The compound and salt have inhibitory activity against metabotropic glutamate receptor 1. They are hence useful for the treatment of diseases such as convulsion, acute pain, inflammatory pain, chronic pain, psychofunctional disorders including schizophrenia, and anxiety.
