Transition Metal Complexes of Instable Ylides, VII. Synthesis and Reactivity of (CO)4Cr-CH2-P(Ph)2(C=CH2)PPh2 as an Example of an Ylide Chelate Complex Containing an Exocyclic C=C Double Bond
The sulfur ylide complex (CO)5Cr reacts with 1,1-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethene (1) to yield the five-membered metalla-heterocycle 2 with a reactive exocyclic C=C double bond.To this double bond carbon-, hydrogen-, phosphorus-, and sulfur nucleophiles are easily added.
