- Reactions of Mono- and Bissilyl Derivatives of Alkylphosphines with Unsaturated Carbonyl Compounds
-
The regioselectivity of addition of mono- and bis(trimethylsilyl)alkylphosphines to α,β-unsaturated aldehydes that are incapable for enolization depends on the presence of substituents in β-position of the carbonyl compound: Acrolein reacts at positions 1, 4, whereas cinnamaldehyde and β,β-diphenylacrolein take up silylphosphines at the carbonyl group.Enolizable α,β-unsaturated compounds cause more rapid protodesilylation of silylphosphines.
