Uses
Used in Chemical Synthesis:
4-Nitro-4'-aminostilbene-2,2'-disulfonic acid is used as a reactant in the synthesis of triazine-containing asymmetrical fluorescent brighteners. These brighteners are essential additives in the textile, paper, and detergent industries to enhance the appearance of fabrics and papers by reflecting light and creating a brighter, more vivid color.
Used in Textile Industry:
In the textile industry, 4-Nitro-4'-aminostilbene-2,2'-disulfonic acid is used as a key component in the production of fluorescent brighteners. These brighteners are added to fabrics during the manufacturing process to improve their colorfastness and overall visual appeal, making them more attractive to consumers.
Used in Paper Industry:
Similarly, in the paper industry, 4-Nitro-4'-aminostilbene-2,2'-disulfonic acid is utilized in the creation of fluorescent brighteners that enhance the appearance of paper products. By adding these brighteners to paper, manufacturers can achieve a more vibrant and eye-catching result, which can be particularly beneficial for marketing materials, packaging, and other visually-oriented applications.
Used in Detergent Industry:
In the detergent industry, 4-Nitro-4'-aminostilbene-2,2'-disulfonic acid is employed in the formulation of laundry detergents containing fluorescent brighteners. These brighteners help to improve the appearance of washed fabrics by making them appear brighter and more colorful, thus providing a more satisfying cleaning experience for consumers.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 119-72-2 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 1,1 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 119-72:
(5*1)+(4*1)+(3*9)+(2*7)+(1*2)=52
52 % 10 = 2
So 119-72-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

, (2019)
Nitrogen doped carbon supported iron catalysts were prepared from pyrolysis of a multidentate nitrogen ligand iron complex supported on chitosan at different temperature, and showed good performances in the reduction of 4,4′-dinitrostilbene-2,2′-disulfonic acid (DNS acid) to 4,4′-diamino-2,2′-stilbenedisulfonic acid (DSD acid) with hydrazine hydrate (N2H4·H2O) as reductant. Characterization results revealed that the iron is mainly present in the form of Fe2O3 and metallic iron nanoparticles. The doped N atoms functionalized as anchoring sites to stabilize iron nanoparticles, which endows the catalysts with excellent activity and superior reusability.
