Signal enhancement in NMR spectra of half-integer quadrupolar nuclei via DFS-QCPMG and RAPT-QCPMG pulse sequences
Schurko, Robert W.,Hung, Ivan,Widdifield, Cory M.
, p. 1 - 10 (2003)
Two signal enhancement schemes capable of providing large signal-to-noise gains in static and magic-angle spinning NMR spectra of the central transition of half-integer quadrupolar nuclei are presented. Amplitude-modulated double-frequency sweeps (AM-DFS)
Conductometric, Viscometric, and Spectroscopic Investigations on the Solvation Phenomena of Alkali-Metal Ions and Ion Pairs in 2-Methoxyethanol
Das, Bijan,Hazra, Dilip K.
, p. 269 - 273 (2007/10/02)
Precise measurements on electrical conductances, relative viscosities, and laser-Raman spectra of solutions of some alkali-metal salts in 2-methoxyethanol (ME) have been reported. The conductance data were analyzed by the 1978 Fuoss conductance equation an
Structural Studies of Matrix-isolated Alkali-metal Perchlorates: Proof of a Bidentate Interaction
Beattie, Ian R.,Parkinson, John E.
, p. 1363 - 1366 (2007/10/02)
The vapours from heated alkali-metal perchlorates isolated in nitrogen matrices have been studied by i.r. spectroscopy. The use of 18O/16O isotopic substitution demonstrates the presence of two distinct pairs of oxygen atoms for the RbClO4 molecule isolated in a nitrogen matrix.Similar results were obtained for the cesium salt. This bidentate interaction between the 'tetrahedral' ClO4- ion and the Rb+ (or Cs+) ion contrasts sharply with the tridentate interaction found previously between the pyramidal ClO3- ion and Cs+.
