Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
(2-PYRIDIN-3-YL-1,3-THIAZOL-4-YL)METHANOL is used as a chemical intermediate for the preparation of imidazothiadiazole and imidazopyridazine derivatives and analogs. These compounds are known as PAR4 antagonists, which are useful in the development of selective platelet aggregation inhibitors. By modulating the activity of PAR4 receptors, these antagonists can potentially be employed in the treatment of various conditions related to platelet aggregation and blood clotting, such as thrombosis and cardiovascular diseases.
