Nugent,Schlachter,Murphy,Dunn,Staite,Galinet,Shields,Wu,Aspar,Richard
, p. 4449 - 4454 (1994)
A study of the decomposition of the pyrazoline bisphosphonate ester 2 identified 3 as the sole bisphosphonate component. Evaluation in a delayed- type hypersensitivity granuloma model of chronic inflammation in mice (DTH- GRA) showed 3 to be a potent inhi
Bisphosphonic acid derivatives as anti-arthritic agents

The bisphosphonates of formula (III) bicyclic bisphosphonates (V), and cyclic bisphosphonates (VII) are useful as anti-arthritic agents and do not have the side effects of anti-arthritic agents which are prostaglandin synthetase inhibitors.
