- Activation Method of Propargylic Carboxylates by Using Metal-Catalyzed
-
The present invention relating to a method using a metal catalyst for activating propargylic carboxylate and the use thereof and, more specifically, to an annulene cyclic compound manufactured via reductive cyclization within a molecule by making propargylic carboxylate react with a metal catalyst; and the method using thereof for manufacturing a precursor compound of a tricyclic compound with seven cyclic cycles on the center thereof. The precursor compound of the tricyclic compound with the seven cyclic cycles on the center is used as a precursor compound of 6,7,n-tricyclic natural material or synthetic compound such as barbatusol, pisiferin, faveline, xochitlolone.

- Gold-catalyzed sequential activation of propargylic carboxylates: A facile route to benzoannulenes
-
A cascade reaction of 1-(2-(3-acetoxyprop-1-ynyl)phenyl)prop-2-ynyl acetate and its derivatives is catalyzed by gold to give the corresponding benzo[7]annulenes (see scheme) in excellent yields. A double activation of the gold catalyst toward two different propargylic carboxylates was proposed. Benzoannulenes were hydrolyzed to 8-hydroxybenzo[7]annulene-5-ones. Copyright
