2-Alkoxy pyrazino[2,3-e][1,4]diazepin-5-one and 11-alkoxy pyrazino[2,3- e]pyrrolo[1,2-a][1,4]diazepin-5-one derivatives were synthesized via the corresponding iminophosphoranes derived from 3-aminopyrazine-2-carboxylic acid and α-amino acid derivatives, by the intramolecular aza-Wittig methodology. (11S, 11aS)-1,2,3,10,11,11a-Hexahydro-11-alkoxy-pyrazino[2,3- e]pyrrolo[1,2-a][1,4]diazepin-5-one derivatives, i.e., 6,9-diaza-analogs of porothramycin B etc., were obtained.
