4,5-DIAMINOFLUORESCEIN, also known as DAF-2, is a sensitive fluorescent indicator used for the detection of nitric oxide (NO). It reacts with NO in the presence of oxygen to yield the highly fluorescent triazolofluorescein (DAF-2T). Fluorescence is monitored using excitation and emission wavelengths of 485 and 538 nM, respectively. At neutral pH, the detection limit for NO is 2-5 nM.

Uses

Used in Research Applications:
4,5-DIAMINOFLUORESCEIN is used as a highly sensitive reagent for NO detection and determination of nitric oxide synthase activity. It is particularly useful in research settings where accurate and precise measurement of NO levels is required.
Used in Biomedical Applications:
4,5-DIAMINOFLUORESCEIN is used as a fluorescent detector of nitric oxide in culture medium, tissue sections, and biopsy cells. This allows for the visualization and analysis of NO production in various biological samples, aiding in the study of its role in physiological and pathological processes.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 205391-01-1 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 2,0,5,3,9 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 205391-01:
(8*2)+(7*0)+(6*5)+(5*3)+(4*9)+(3*1)+(2*0)+(1*1)=101
101 % 10 = 1
So 205391-01-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
