METHOD FOR PRODUCING BUTENE DIALDEHYDE-BIS-DIALKYL ACETALS
The invention relates to a method for producing butene dialdehyde-bis-dialkyl acetals, according to which a dialkoxy dihydrofuran, an alkanol and a trialkyl orthoformiate are introduced into a rectifying column and are reacted in at least one zone of the column to form a butene dialdehyde-bis-dialkyl acetal and an alkyl formiate. The butene dialdehyde-bis-dialkyl acetal and the alkyl formiate are continuously eliminated from the reaction zone, preferably by withdrawing the alkyl formiate at the head of the column and the butene dialdehyde-bis-dialkyl acetal as a bottom product from the column. The dialkoxy dihydrofuran can be e.g. dimethoxy dihydrofuran, the alkanol can be methanol and the trialkyl orthoformiate can be trimethyl orthoformiate.
