Triphenylarsine catalyzes the formation of aziridines from tosyl imines and aromatic diazo compounds in a one-pot reaction. It is the first example of catalytic aziridination mediated by arsonium ylides. It gave aziridines in excellent diastereoselectivity with pentafluorophenyl diazomethane as the substrate.
