Paragraph 0036-0039, (2017/07/01)
The invention relates to a method for synthesizing 2,2'-methylene-bis[4-tert-octyl-6-(2H-benzotriazolyl-2)]phenol (UV-360) through solvent-free phase transfer catalysis. The method comprises the procedures: adding UV-329, powdered sodium hydroxide, bis(di-n-propylamino)methane and a small amount of phase transfer catalyst into a reaction bulb which is equipped with a stirrer, a thermometer and a distillate receiving device, heating the reaction bulb to the temperature of about 120 DEG C with stirring, carrying out a reaction for 2 to 3 hours at this temperature and vacuum (100mmHg), and meanwhile, carrying out distilling-off so as to produce di-n-propyl amine; and after the reaction ends, carrying out procedures, such as toluene extraction, hydrochloric acid neutralization, crystallization and filtration, thereby obtaining the product. The synthesis method has the advantages that the reaction temperature is low, the reaction time is short, the yield and quality of the product are high, di-n-propyl amine is easy to recover, and the like.

Paragraph 0033; 0034; 0035; 0036; 0037-0049; 0052; 0053, (2017/08/29)
The invention discloses a method for synthesizing 2,2'-methylene-bis[4-tert-octyl-6-(2H-benzotriazolyl-2)]phenol (UV-360) through solvent-free condensation. The method comprises the procedures of firstly, carrying out condensation dehydration on di-n-propyl amine and formaldehyde or paraformaldehyde, which serve as raw materials, at the temperature of about 120 DEG C so as to synthesize di(n-propylamino)methane, and then, carrying out condensation with 2-(2'-hydroxyl-5'-tert-octylphenyl)benzotriazole at the temperature of about 160 DEG C under the catalysis of sodium hydroxide under solvent-free conditions, thereby synthesizing the UV-360. According to the method, no high-boiling solvent is used, so that problems of the existing methods are solved; and di-n-propyl amine is easy to recover and recycle, and the product quality is high.

Paragraph 0027; 0028, (2016/11/07)
The invention discloses a method for preparation of 2,2'-methylenebis[6-(2H-benzotriazole-2-yl)-4-(1,1,3,3-tetramethyl butyl)phenol]. The method comprises the steps: adding 2-(2-hydroxy-5-t-octyl)phenyl benzotriazole, an aromatic hydrocarbon solvent, secondary amine and paraformaldehyde into a reactor, heating up to 130-160 DEG C, carrying out a heat preservation dehydration reaction for 1-4 hours, adding a catalyst, dehydrating and heating up to 160-190 DEG C while heating, and carrying out heat preservation for 2-5 hours; and after the completion of the reaction, cooling the reaction liquid, neutralizing, carrying out alcohol precipitation, filtering, and drying to obtain UV-360. Compared with a conventional synthetic route, the yield of the product can reach more than or equal to 92%, and the maximum yield can reach more than or equal to 96%, so the production cost of the product is lower; the product has good quality, and the content of the product can reach more than or equal to 99.5%. Moreover, the operation process is simple and reliable, and the conditions are easy to control, so the method can meet demand of industrialized mass production.
