, p. 141 - 152 (2015)
The synthesis of a series of star-shaped C3-symmetric amines and their inclusion complexation properties toward α-, β-, γ-cyclodextrins and their permethylated derivatives has been described. The star molecules comprise of 1, 3, 5-trisubstited benzene core and the points formed by (alkylamino)methyl or 4-((alkylamino)methyl)phenyl groups. The modes of host-guest interaction were studied by UV-Vis spectroscopy, ITC, 1H NMR and 2D-NMR (NOESY). It was found that star molecules containing (tert-butylamino)methyl, (adamantan-1-ylamino)methyl, 4-((isopropylamino)methyl) phenyl, 4-((tert-butylamino)methyl)phenyl and protonated 4-((adamantan-1-ylamino)methyl)phenyl points form strong host-guest complexes with β-cyclodextrin. It was also proved that the largest C3-symmetric guest can form complexes with bcyclodextrin with stoichiometry 3 which is required for construction of dendrimer supramolecular structures. None of the investigated amines forms a strong complex with permethylated cyclodextrins.
Novel C3-symmetrical triphenylbenzene-based organogelators with different linkers between phenyl ring and alkyl chain
He, Yabing,Bian, Zheng,Kang, Chuanqing,Cheng, Yanqin,Gao, Lianxun
, p. 3553 - 3563 (2010)
A new family of 1,3,5-triphenylbenzene-based organogelators with approximately identical side chain length have been synthesized and fully characterized. The molecular aggregation can be promoted by hydrogen-bonding and van der Waals interaction. The magnitudes of hydrogen bonding interactions between the linkers on the triphenylbenzene cores are qualitatively in the order of -CONHNHCO-, -NHCONH->-NHCO->-CONH->-NHCSNH-, consequently resulting in different gelation behaviors. The sol-gel transitions of gels 3 and 4 in toluene are thermodynamically reversible, while the formations of gels 2 and 5 in dioxane are kinetically controlled. The urea-based gel 2 can selectively recognize F- ion.

supporting information, p. 7322 - 7334 (2019/11/05)
In this paper, we report the regioselective synthesis of 3,5-disubstituted isoxazoles by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition between alkynyl dipolarophiles and nitrile oxide dipoles generated in-situ from O-silylated hydroxamic acids in the presence of trifluoromethanesulfonic anhydride and NEt3. Thanks to the mild, metal-free and oxidant-free conditions that this strategy offers, the reaction was successfully applied to a wide variety of alkynyl dipolarophiles, demonstrating the tolerance of this approach to diverse functional groups. In particular, we have shown that the method was compatible with biological molecules such as peptides and peptide nucleic acids (PNA). This protocol constitutes another example of metal-free 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition leading to the regioselective formation of isoxazoles.
