BATZELLINES A, B, AND C. NOVEL PYRROLOQUINOLINE ALKALOIDS FROM THE SPONGE Batzella Sp.
Sakemi, Shinichi,Sun, Hao H.,Jefford, Charles W.,Bernardinelli, Gerald
, p. 2517 - 2520 (1989)
Tree highly functionalized pyrroloquinoline alkaloids, batzelline A (1), B (2), and C (3) were isolated from the deep water Bahamas sponge Batzella sp.The sructure of 1 was determined by X-ray and those of 2 and 3 deduced by comparison of their spectral data with that of 1 and by chemical transformations.
Transformation of tricyclic makaluvamines from the marine sponge Zyzzya fuliginosa into damirones
Utkina,Gerasimenko,Popov
, p. 258 - 260 (2003)
Makaluvamines H and C isolated from the marine sponge Zyzzya fuliginosa were transformed into damirones A and B, respectively, by alkaline hydrolysis. The crystal structure of damirone A was established by X-ray diffraction analysis.
