The invention provides an economic and environment-friendly synthetic method of 3,5-dichloro sodium phenolsulfonate. The method comprises the steps that 2,4-chlorophenesic acid is adopted as a raw material, fuming sulphuric acid/chlorosulfonic acid/thionyl chloride is adopted as a sulfonating agent for a reaction, after the reaction is finished, extraction is performed, and then neutralization is performed with sodium carbonate to obtain 3,5-dichloro sodium phenolsulfonate. The production technology is small in waste acid generation amount, clean, environmentally friendly, high in yield and low in cost.
