Uses
Used in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology:
AMPSO is used as an alkaline transfer buffer for the transfer of strongly basic proteins from gels to nitrocellulose. This application is particularly useful in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology, where the separation and analysis of proteins are crucial for understanding their structure, function, and interactions.
Used in the Pharmaceutical Industry:
AMPSO is used as a buffering agent in the formulation of pharmaceutical products. Its ability to maintain a stable pH in various conditions makes it an ideal candidate for ensuring the stability and efficacy of drugs, particularly those that are sensitive to changes in pH.
Used in the Food Industry:
In the food industry, AMPSO is used as a pH调节剂 (pH adjuster) to maintain the desired acidity or alkalinity of various products. This helps in preserving the taste, texture, and shelf life of the products, as well as ensuring their safety for consumption.
Used in the Cosmetics Industry:
AMPSO is used as a buffering agent in the formulation of cosmetics and personal care products. Its ability to maintain a stable pH helps in preserving the effectiveness of the active ingredients and ensuring the product's compatibility with the skin.
Used in the Environmental Industry:
AMPSO is used in the treatment of wastewater and other environmental applications as a pH调节剂 (pH adjuster). It helps in maintaining the optimal pH levels required for the biological processes involved in the treatment of wastewater, thus contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 68399-79-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,8,3,9 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 68399-79:
(7*6)+(6*8)+(5*3)+(4*9)+(3*9)+(2*7)+(1*9)=191
191 % 10 = 1
So 68399-79-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Isolation of nucleic acids
-
, (2008/06/13)
A method for extracting nucleic acids from a biological material such as blood comprises contacting the mixture with a material at a pH such that the material is positively charged and will bind negatively charged nucleic acids and then eluting the nucleic acids at a pH when the said materials possess a neutral or negative charge to release the nucleic acids. The nucleic acids can be removed under mildly alkaline conditions to the maintain integrity of the nucleic acids and to allow retrieval of the nucleic acids in reagents that are immediately compatible with either storage or analytical testing.
Amino-hydroxy-alkyl sulfonic acid zwitterions
-
, (2008/06/13)
Novel amino-hydroxy-alkylene sulfonic acid zwitterions are described which have the general formulas STR1 wherein A and B are each independently a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or hydroxyaliphatic group, N is one or two, and R=n is a cyclic radical comprising one or two ring nitrogen atoms, zero or one ring oxygen atoms and the remainder of the ring being carbon atoms, and water soluble salts of said acids. These organo-sulfonic acid compounds are useful as hydrogen ion buffers in biological research and particularly for tissue culture.
