A smokeless powder that is a mixture of nitrocellulose and nitroglycerin, with approximately 5% petrolatum added to thicken and stabilize the mixture. Materials are dissolved in acetone and mixed. Evaporation of the excess acetone leaves a gelatinous mass, which is extruded into cords.
