Properties:
(1) Violet crystals. D 4.134 (25C), mp 784C, bp 1600C. Very soluble in water; soluble in alcohol; insoluble in ether and chloroform. (2) Red crystals. Mp 124C, loses 6H2O at 160C. Very soluble in water and alcohol.

75, 95, 99, and 99.9%.
