Treatment of the heterometallic complex <(OC)4Fe<μ-Ph2PC(=CH2)PPh2>RhCl(CO)> with Me3NO affords the tetranuclear cluster 2> which has been characterised by X-ray crystallography as having a butterfly structure with wing-tip Rh-atoms.
