1,n-Diynes having alkyl, aryl, and trimethylsilyl groups as the terminal substituents undergo cyclization with 2,6-dimethylphenyl isocyanide in the presence of a stoichiometric amount of bis( cyclooctadiene)nickel(0) to form polycyclic iminocyclopentadien
