The transesterification reaction of β-methoxycarbonylethyltin trichloride and its dimethylsulfoxide adduct with alcohols

The transesterification reaction of ss-methoxycarbonylethyltin trichloride and its dimethylsulfoxide adduct with alcohols is reported and the possible mechanism is suggested. A series of ss-alkoxycarbonylethyltin trichlorides and their dimethyl-sulfoxide adducts were synthesized and characterized by means of elemental analyses, IR and ¹H NMR spectra and an X-ray single crystal diffraction study.
