obtained with the standard triphos ligand (6, 21 h ) and the
P-triphos (8, 22 h ). Interestingly, the system with the silicon
triphos 7 (127 h ) is the most active among the aromatic ligand
derivatives.

General procedure for the transfer hydrogenation of carbon dioxide
to methyl formate: Under argon atmosphere the Ru/E-triphosderiv
catalyst (3.0 µmol), acidic additive (24.0 µmol) were weight into a glass
inlet, equipped with a stir bar and subsequently placed in a high pressure
