Quantitative analysis of the individual component bands of
amide I was achieved by using the peak fitting module
implemented in the Origin® Software (Microcalc Inc.). In the
curve fitting procedure, the Voigt peak shape has been used
for all peaks. The Voigt shape is a combination of the
Gaussian and Lorentzian peak shapes and accounts for the
broadening present in the FTIR spectrum.
