The research presents a novel method for the preparation of γ-ethoxyallylstannanes and dienol ethers. The key reaction involves the use of tributylstannyllithium with 2-ethoxy-3-alkenenitriles, yielding γ-ethoxyallylstannanes in good to high yields through an SN2' reaction mechanism. The study also explores the synthesis of dienol ethers by reacting trimethylsiloxy alkenenitriles, which are derived from 2-ethoxy-3-alkenenitriles, with tributylstannyllithium. The chemicals that played crucial roles in this research include tributylstannyllithium as the reducing agent, 2-ethoxy-3-alkenenitriles as the starting materials, lithium diisopropylamide (LDA) for deprotonation, various aldehydes for alkylation, and chlorotrimethylsilane for silylation. The innovative aspect of this work lies in the efficient and selective synthesis of these compounds, which have significant applications in organic synthesis.
