Uses
4-Mercaptopyridine is a pyridine derivative used as a redox reagents for the in vitro refolding of a recombinantly expressed single-chain Fv fragment (scFvOx). Used in studies along with thiosulfate to measure alliinase activity. mercaptopyridine is also known as sodium pyrithione. It is a preservative that is not commoly used. 4-Mercaptopyridine was used as a probe molecule to study the performance of the gold nanorod (AuNR)/polycaprolactone (PCL) fibrous mesh.
