These intermediates then react with various amines, including primary, secondary, and cyclic amines, to produce the desired amides in high yields (81–94%) without significant side products. The study highlights the practicality of this method by demonstrating its scalability through a gram-scale reaction, yielding the desired product in 90% yield. This metal-free, mild condition oxidative amidation offers a simple, efficient, and environmentally friendly alternative for the direct synthesis of amides from aldehydes, with potential applications in pharmaceuticals and other industries.
