• Indications: 2-Octyl cyanoacrylate (Dermabond) is a fast-setting topical skin adhesive intended to close easily approximated skin edges of wounds from surgical incisions, including punctures from minimally invasive surgery and simple, thoroughly cleansed, trauma-induced lacerations. It may be used in conjunction with, but not in place of, subcuticular sutures. It is contraindicated for use on any wounds with evidence of active infection, areas under high skin tension, mucocutaneous surfaces, or skin regularly exposed to body fluids. Patients with formaldehyde allergies may react to this topical solution.
