Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 14275-62-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,4,2,7 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 14275-62:
(7*1)+(6*4)+(5*2)+(4*7)+(3*5)+(2*6)+(1*2)=98
98 % 10 = 8
So 14275-62-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Palladium-catalysed dimerisation-distannylation of arynes: Synthesis and reaction of 2,2′-distannylbiaryls

Yoshida, Hiroto,Tanino, Kenji,Ohshita, Joji,Kunai, Atsutaka

, p. 5678 - 5680 (2007/10/03)

Two molar amounts of arynes were found to insert into a Sn-Sn bond of a distannane in the presence of a sub-stoichiometric amount of a palladium-phosphite complex, affording straight-forwardly 2,2′- distannylbiaryls. The Royal Society of Chemistry 2005.

Carbanions as intermediates in the formation of Grignard reagents

Van Klink, Gerard P.M.,De Boer, Henricus J.R.,Schat, Gerrit,Akkerman, Otto S.,Bickelhaupt, Friedrich,Spek, Anthony L.

, p. 2119 - 2135 (2008/10/08)

The formation of reactive carbanions in Grignard reagents was discussed. Inter- and/or intramolecular migrations of organotin and organosilicon groups were also studied. Results showed that the high percentage of rearrangement reactions proves that the anionic species are not located on a minor pathway.
