Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 19858-57-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,9,8,5 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 19858-57:
(7*1)+(6*9)+(5*8)+(4*5)+(3*8)+(2*5)+(1*7)=162
162 % 10 = 2
So 19858-57-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

An approach to the synthesis of α-cyanostilbazole derivatives based on the heterocyclization of tetracyanopropenides

, (2021)
The synthesis of α-cyanostilbazole derivatives via the heterocyclization reaction of arylmethylidene derivatives of the malononitrile trimer (YMNT-) is described. This approach opens up the possibility for the one step synthesis of α-cyanostilbazole derivatives with a highly functionalized pyridine fragment. The spectral-luminescent properties in solution as well as in the solid state were investigated. The obtained α-cyanostilbazoles, depending on the aryl ring substituents, exhibit solid-phase fluorescence from blue to red.
