A facile approach to dibenzo [b,f] [1,6] naphthyridines using Vilsmeier conditions
Suresh,Kumar, R. Nandha,Mohan
, p. 83 - 88 (2003)
A series of 1,6-naphthyridines have been synthesized. When 4-chloro 2-methyl quinoline 1a on reaction with aniline yielded 4-quinolinamine 2a which upon cyclisation afforded the titled compounds 3a using Vilsmeier conditions.
Microwave-assisted, rapid synthesis of 2-vinylquinolines and evaluation of their antimalarial activity
Huang, Guang,Solano, Claribel Murillo,Su, Yuxin,Ezzat, Nameer,Matsui, Shino,Huang, Liuyu,Chakrabarti, Debopam,Yuan, Yu
, p. 1736 - 1740 (2019)
A rapid and efficient synthesis of 2-vinylquinolines via trifluoromethanesulfonamide-mediated olefination of 2-methylquinoline and aldehyde under microwave irradiation is reported. Biological evaluation of these scaffolds demonstrates that 2-vinylquinolines 3x-3z possess excellent antimalarial activities against chloroquine-resistant Dd2 strain of Plasmodium falciparum (IC50 100 nM).
Discovery of AL-GDa62 as a Potential Synthetic Lethal Lead for the Treatment of Gastric Cancer
Beetham, Henry,Bougen-Zhukov, Nicola,Cameron, Scott A.,Evans, Gary B.,Fraser, Michael G.,Guilford, Parry J.,Harris, Lawrence D.,Luxenburger, Andreas,Schmidt, Dorian
, p. 18114 - 18142 (2021/12/17)
Diffuse gastric cancer and lobular breast cancer are aggressive malignancies that are frequently associated with inactivating mutations in the tumor suppressor gene CDH1. Synthetic lethal (SL) vulnerabilities arising from CDH1 dysfunction represent attrac
