6,8-Dibromo-3-chloroacetamido-2-methylquinazolin-4(3H)-one (IV) has been synthesised from 3-amino-6,8-dibromo-2-methyl-quinazolin-4(3H)-one (III) and reacted with ammonium salts of various N-substituted-dithiocarbamic acids derived from secondary and primary amines, to get new S-acetamido>-N-substituted-dithiocarbamates (VI).Their antifungal and insecticidal affinities have been determined.
