Usage

General Description

Amentoflavone is a biologically active compound, classified as a biflavonoid, found naturally in a variety of plants, including Gingko biloba, and certain species of moss. It demonstrates a diverse range of pharmacological properties, including anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-cancer, anti-diabetic, anti-oxidant, and neuroprotective effects. Amentoflavone interacts with numerous enzymes and biological systems, such as inhibiting the enzyme PDE4 and binding to GABA receptors. However, due to its low water-solubility and bioavailability, further research is required to identify efficient drug delivery systems.
