Usage

General Description

Ammonium sulfite is a chemical compound that is composed of two ammonium ions and one sulfite ion. It is a white, crystalline solid with the chemical formula (NH4)2SO3. Ammonium sulfite is commonly used in the food industry as a preservative to prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi in food products. It is also used in the pulp and paper industry as a bleaching agent and in the photography industry as a developer for photographic film.
