Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 102141-22-0 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,0,2,1,4 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 102141-22:
(8*1)+(7*0)+(6*2)+(5*1)+(4*4)+(3*1)+(2*2)+(1*2)=50
50 % 10 = 0
So 102141-22-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Density Studies in N-(p-n-Butoxybenzylidene)-p-n-Butylaniline

Rao, J. V.,Rao, N. V. S.,Pisipati, V. G. K. M.,Murty, C. R. K.

, p. 1157 - 1160 (2007/10/02)

The density ρ of N-(p-n-butoxybenzylidene) p-n-butylaniline (BBBA) has been measured as a function of temperature from SH to isotropic liquid phase. The compound exhibits three smectic and two nematic phases. The phases assigned are SH SB SA NC NO I.The change of ρ across the transition SH - SB is more predominant than the other transitions. The SH - SB, SA - NC, and NC - NO transitions have been observed for the first time from density studies. The variation of ρ with temperature and the calculated thermal expansion coeff icients in liquid crystalline region suggest that all the transitions are of first order. It is suggested that the transition of NC - NO at 59.4 deg C is cybotactic nematic to ordinary nematic phase.
