Reaction of Pb(O2CMe)2*3H2O with title ligands yields compounds *nH2O (n = 0, R = Me, Et and p-Tol; n = 2, R = Ph, C6H11).The complexes have been characterized on the basis of their analytical, conductance and spectral data.A comparison of the IR, UV and PMR spectra of the complexes with those of the ligands and their sodium salts indicates an unsymmetric chelation of the carboxylate ion and non-coordination of arsenic.
