Equimolar reactions of tin(II) chloride with ligands having NO and NS donor systems lead to the formation of a new series of tin(II) chloride complexes.The bonding of the ligands through azomethine nitrogen and ketonic oxygen/thionic sulphur to metal atom has been suggested on the basis of IR, UV and 1H NMR spectral studies.
