They can be employed for the treatment of glaucoma, ocular hypertension, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy and retinal vasculopathies, cancer, epilepsy, high-altitude disorders and neuromuscular diseases.
