3-Arylimino-3H-phenothiazines and 3-arylimino-7-arylamino-3H-phenothiazines were obtained by the oxidative amination of phenothiazine.The selectivity for the formation of these compounds depends on the basicity of the starting amines, nature of the oxidizing agent, and solvent.
