supporting information, p. 534 - 544 (2018/03/28)
Novel valdecoxib-based cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors were synthesized in one step via 1, 3-dipolar cycloaddition of nitrile oxides with a series of eleven aryl alkynes, six of them described for the first time. Application of Ru?II)-catalysis leads preferab

An easy entry to uncommon 2-propargylbenzaldehydes was developed. 2-Propargylbenzaldehydes demonstrated to be suitable building blocks for the synthesis of 3-benzyl isoquinolines by microwave promoted domino imination/cycloisomerisation in the presence of

A compound represented by the following formula (1) or a salt thereof: wherein R1 represents hydrogen atom, a halogen atom and the like; R2 represents hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a C1-6 alkyl group and the like; and R3 represents —O—X—C(A1)(A11)—C(A2)(A2l)—N(A3l)(A3)(X represents propylene group etc., A11 and A21 represent hydrogen atom, or a C1-6 alkyl group, A31 represents a C1-6 alkyl group substituted with hydroxyl group, or hydrogen atom, and A1, A2, and A3 represent hydrogen atom, a C1-6 alkyl group and the like) and the like, which has an inhibitory activity on the phosphorylation of myosin regulatory light chain, and is useful for treatment of diseases relating to contraction of various cells and the like.
CYCLOFUNCTIONALISATION REACTIONS OF EPOXYALCOHOL DERIVATIVES. 3. CYCLISATION-ACYL MIGRATION OF N-BENZOYLCARBAMATES TO STEREODEFINED OXAZOLIDINONES. A NEW, DIASTEREOSPECIFIC ROUTE TO THIAMPHENICOL.

, p. 5395 - 5398 (2007/10/02)
N-Benzoylcarbamates formed in situ from 2,3-epoxyalcohols and PhCONCO undergo clean to C-2 cyclisation followed by N to O acyl migration on treatment with catalytic sodium imidazolide or other bases.Subsequent benzoate cleavage (NaOMe) is accompanied by equilibration of the N-unsubstituted oxazolidinones; cleavage without significant isomerisation is achieved with MeLi or Zn(BH4)2.This methodology is applied in a diastereospecific, 6-step conversion of methyl 4-bromophenyl sulfonate to racemic Thiamphenicol.
