1,3-Diamino-(IIa)- and 1,4-diamino-(IIb)-benzenes react with 1-aryl-3-phenyl-prop-2-yn-1-ones (Ia-c) in 1:1 molar proportion to give 1-aryl-3-phenyl-(3'-aminoanilino)-(IIIa-c)-, 1-aryl-3-phenyl-3-(4'-aminoanilino)-(IIId-f)-prop-2-en-1-ones together with 1,3-phenylene-(IVa-c)- and 1,4-phenylene-(Va-c)-di-, respectively.The structures of the products are based on analytical and spectral data.
