Poly(EP6CC) was studied using several techniques. The compound was found to undergo controlled depolymerization with releasing the monomer EP6CC selectively from the chain end in the presence of the HCl-OEt2 complex, regardless of whether it is in a solution state or it is grafted on an insoluble cross-linked polymer.
