Synthesis and Investigation of Mesomorphic Properties of Some Thiazole Derivatives

2,4-Disubstituted thiazoles with liquid crystal properties are synthesized.Influence of the length of the aliphatic chain on the type of mesomorphism and the width of the temperature range of the mesophase existence is investigated.The compounds are shown to possess mesomorphism of smectic type in the range of 36-145 deg C.
