General Description

2,3,5-Triphenyltetrazolium bromide (TPTZ) is a chemical compound commonly used in biochemical assays to measure cellular viability and the activity of mitochondrial dehydrogenases. TPTZ is a redox indicator that undergoes a colorimetric change from colorless to red when it is reduced by dehydrogenases in living cells.
