A new rhodium(I) complex in which (S-S)=S2COMe- and (NBD)=norbornadiene (bicycloocta-2,5-diene) has been obtained. This compound reacts with CO to give dicarbonyl derivative , which undergoes total or partial replacement of CO upon treatment with the phosphine ligands P(4-XC6H4)3 (X=Cl, F, CH3, CH3O).Reactions of monocarbonyl complexes (S-S=S2COMe-, S2CNEt2-) with I2 yield the new oxidative addition compounds, .However, when CH3I is used new compounds of the type are formed by insertion of an Me group into Rh-CO bond.
