1129-42-6 Usage
Description
6-methyl-2-oxoperhydropyrimidin-4-ylurea is an organic compound with the chemical formula C5H10N2O2. It is a derivative of urea, which is a key component in various industrial and agricultural applications.
Uses
Used in Agricultural Applications:
6-methyl-2-oxoperhydropyrimidin-4-ylurea is used as a fertilizer additive to enhance the activity of urease and dehydrogenase soil enzymes. This leads to an increase in the yield and quality of crops, such as banana, grown on inceptisol soil.
Used in Fertilizer Production:
6-methyl-2-oxoperhydropyrimidin-4-ylurea is used in the production of slow-release fertilizers, such as Crotonylidene diurea (CDU) or crotonylidene urea. CDU is a fertilizer containing 28% nitrogen, which is released slowly to provide a sustained supply of nutrients to plants. It is made by reacting crotonaldehyde with urea in a 1:2 ratio, and the addition of 6-methyl-2-oxoperhydropyrimidin-4-ylurea can further improve its effectiveness and efficiency in delivering nitrogen to crops.
Flammability and Explosibility
Nonflammable
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 1129-42-6 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,1,2 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1129-42:
(6*1)+(5*1)+(4*2)+(3*9)+(2*4)+(1*2)=56
56 % 10 = 6
So 1129-42-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
