Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 113379-13-8 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,1,3,3,7 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 113379-13:
(8*1)+(7*1)+(6*3)+(5*3)+(4*7)+(3*9)+(2*1)+(1*3)=108
108 % 10 = 8
So 113379-13-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Copper-Catalyzed Cross-Coupling between Alkyl (Pseudo)halides and Bicyclopentyl Grignard Reagents

Andersen, Claire,Bernardelli, Patrick,Cossy, Janine,Daumas, Marc,Ferey, Vincent,Guérinot, Amandine

supporting information, (2020/08/05)

The development of a copper-catalyzed cross-coupling between primary and secondary (pseudo)halides and bicyclopentyl Grignard reagents is reported. Highly strained bicyclopentanes can be cross-coupled with a large panel of primary alkyl mesylates and secondary alkyl iodides. The catalytic system is simple and cheap, and the reaction is general and chemoselective.

Introduction of Cyclopropyl and Cyclobutyl Ring on Alkyl Iodides through Cobalt-Catalyzed Cross-Coupling

Andersen, Claire,Ferey, Vincent,Daumas, Marc,Bernardelli, Patrick,Guérinot, Amandine,Cossy, Janine

supporting information, p. 2285 - 2289 (2019/03/29)

A cobalt-catalyzed cross-coupling between alkyl iodides and cyclopropyl, cyclobutyl, and alkenyl Grignard reagents is disclosed. The reaction allows the introduction of strained rings on a large panel of primary and secondary alkyl iodides. The catalytic system is simple and nonexpensive, and the reaction is general, chemoselective, and diastereoconvergent. The alkene resulting from the cross-coupling can be transformed to substituted cyclopropanes using a Simmons-Smith reaction. The formation of radical intermediates during the coupling is hypothesized.

4“-O-Alkylated α-Galactosylceramide Analogues as iNKT-Cell Antigens: Synthetic, Biological, and Structural Studies

Invariant natural killer T-cells (iNKT) are a glycolipid-responsive subset of T-lymphocytes that fulfill a pivotal role in the immune system. The archetypical synthetic glycolipid, α-galactosylceramide (α-GalCer), whose molecular framework is inspired by

Nickel-Catalyzed C-Alkylation of Nitroalkanes with Unactivated Alkyl Iodides

Rezazadeh, Sina,Devannah, Vijayarajan,Watson, Donald A.

supporting information, p. 8110 - 8113 (2017/06/28)

Enabled by nickel catalysis, a mild and general catalytic method for C-alkylation of nitroalkanes with unactivated alkyl iodides is described. Compatible with primary, secondary, and tertiary alkyl iodides; and tolerant of a wide range of functional groups, this method allows rapid access to diverse nitroalkanes.

Visible-Light-Promoted Remote C-H Functionalization of o-Diazoniaphenyl Alkyl Sulfones

Du, Shaofu,Kimball, Elizabeth Ann,Ragains, Justin R.

supporting information, p. 5553 - 5556 (2017/10/25)

Visible-light irradiation of ortho-diazoniaphenyl alkyl sulfones in the presence of Ru(bpy)32+ results in remote Csp3-H functionalization. Key mechanistic steps in these processes involve intramolecular hydrogen atom transfer from Csp3-H bonds to aryl radicals to generate alkyl/benzyl radicals. Subsequent polar crossover occurs by single-electron oxidation of the alkyl/benzyl radicals to carbenium ions that then intercept nucleophiles. We have developed remote hydroxylations, etherifications, an amidation, and C-C bond formation processes using this strategy.

Visible-light-mediated conversion of alcohols to halides

Dai, Chunhui,Narayanam, Jagan M.R.,Stephenson, Corey R.J.

scheme or table, p. 140 - 145 (2012/02/06)

The development of new means of activating molecules and bonds for chemical reactions is a fundamental objective for chemists. In this regard, visible-light photoredox catalysis has emerged as a powerful technique for chemoselective activation of chemical bonds under mild reaction conditions. Here, we report a visible-light-mediated photocatalytic alcohol activation, which we use to convert alcohols to the corresponding bromides and iodides in good yields, with exceptional functional group tolerance. In this fundamentally useful reaction, the design and operation of the process is simple, the reaction is highly efficient, and the formation of stoichiometric waste products is minimized.
