Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 115196-83-3 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,1,5,1,9 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 115196-83:
(8*1)+(7*1)+(6*5)+(5*1)+(4*9)+(3*6)+(2*8)+(1*3)=123
123 % 10 = 3
So 115196-83-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Design and synthesis of a universal antigen to detect brucellosis

Guiard, Julie,Paszkiewicz, Eugenia,Sadowska, Joanna,Bundle, David R.

supporting information, p. 7181 - 7185 (2013/07/26)

Upgrading diagnostics: A universal antigen has been prepared for the detection of brucellosis caused by any Brucella species that express a smooth lipopolysaccharide. This nonasaccharide, which encompasses Brucella A- and M-antigenic determinants, is uniquely available only by chemical synthesis. Copyright

The design and synthesis of antibody binding site probes: three pentasaccharide analogues of the Brucella A antigen prepared by activation in situ of thioglycosides with bromine

Kihlberg, Jan,Eichler, Eva,Bundle, David R.

, p. 59 - 75 (2007/10/02)

Three pentasaccharide analogues of the Brucella A antigen 2)-α-D-Rhap4NFo-(1--> >n, each with one formamido group replaced by a hydroxyl group, have been prepared as their methyl glycosides.Mono- and di-saccharide thioglycosides of D-rhamnose and 4-azido-4,6-dideoxy-D-mannose were used as glycosyl donors for the preparation of protected pentasaccharide derivatives with trisaccharides as intermediates.Glycosylations were performed by activation in situ of the thioglycosides with bromine in the presence of a glycosyl acceptor and silver triflate as promoter.Reduction of the azido groups with hydrogen sulfide, N-formylation with ethyl formate, and hydrogenolysis then gave the target pentasaccharides.

SYNTHESIS OF ANTIGENIC DETERMINANTS OF THE Brucella A ANTIGEN, UTILIZING METHYL 4-AZIDO-4,6-DIDEOXY-α-D-MANNOPYRANOSIDE EFFICIENTLY DERIVED FROM D-MANNOSE

Bundle, David R.,Gerken, Manfred,Peters, Thomas

, p. 239 - 252 (2007/10/02)

A strategy for the synthesis of Brucella O-antigenic determinants containing 2-linked 4,6-dideoxy-4-formamido-α-D-mannopyranosyl residues is described. The approach adopted also permits the N-acyl moiety to be varied.A high-yield synthesis of methyl 4-azid
